Our HH1 service runs Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon, with a ‘hail and ride’ service - meaning you can board anywhere along our route.
Everyone can ride!
Fares are £2 for adults, £1 children, (babies travel free)
All fares include a return journey on the same day
We also accept concessionary tickets (including pensioners’ bus passes)

A normal schedule is in operation this week.
WE ARE AWARE OF ROADWORKS AFFECTING THE TIMETABLE THIS WEEK.
From Monday 13th July to Friday 17th July (0930 to 1600) - Station Road (on the Leyton Road side of the High Street) will be closed for roadworks. The Hopper will divert by crossing straight over the Bull Road roundabout into Leyton Road, past the old fire station and then Park Hall, and will then re-join the normal route along Leyton Road. This is only for the part of the route that takes the Hopper into Leyton Road. We do not anticipate any delays to the timetable.

The Hopper’s 10th anniversary celebration event - 3rd July 2026 — Harpenden Hopper
The Hopper driver team is holding its annual summer tea-party/coffee morning for passengers on Wednesday 19th August (10am to 12pm) in the garden of St Nicholas’ church hall (Cornelia’s coffee shop). All our wonderful passengers are invited and by popular demand there will be the usual selection of home-made cakes. We hope to see you all there (via the Hopper of course)! Hopefully our new Hopper minibus will be unveiled there, too!
