Our HH1 service runs Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon, with a ‘hail and ride’ service - meaning you can board anywhere along our route.
Everyone can ride!
Fares are £2 for adults, £1 children, (babies travel free)
All fares include a return journey on the same day
We also accept concessionary tickets (including pensioners’ bus passes)

Any route issues or news?
Week commencing Monday 9th February 2026
A normal schedule is in operation this week, apart from below.
We are aware of the following roadworks that may affect the route and timetable:
There are now 2-way temporary traffic lights in Sun Lane just before St George’s school - this is until Friday 13th February. This is for further gas main repairs/replacement. There may be delays if there are tailbacks due to the temporary lights - but so far this has not been a problem.
On Monday 9th February Cravells Road will be closed between 0930 and 1600 (just for one day). The Hopper will divert by turning left from Eastmoor Park and then right into St John’s Road (past the The Engineer) and then right into Walkers Road, down to the mini roundabout at Southdown. The bus will turn right past the shops, and then do a U-turn round the next mini roundabout. Cravells Road passengers are kindly requested to hail the bus at the bottom of Cravells Road or ideally at the bus stop by the Harpenden Trust Hall.
