Our HH1 service runs Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon, with a ‘hail and ride’ service - meaning you can board anywhere along our route.

Everyone can ride!
Fares are £2 for adults, £1 children, (babies travel free)
All fares include a return journey on the same day
We also accept concessionary tickets (including pensioners’ bus passes)

Route and Timetable

Any route issues or news?

Week commencing Monday 9th March 2026

A normal schedule is in operation this week - but please note the following:

This week, we are aware of the following sets of roadworks that may impact the Hopper route and timetable.

Wednesday 11th to Thursday 12th March - corner of St Albans Road and Leyton Road (0930 to 1600)

  • Public guard railings are being replaced/upgraded by the zebra crossing opposite the Harpenden Arms

  • Temporary traffic lights will be in place - there may be delays to the timetable as a result.

Thursday 12th to Friday 13th March - Roundwood Lane will be closed for drainage investigations (0930 to 1530)

  • The road will be closed - hence the Hopper will follow a diversion

  • However, we will still collect and drop-off passengers at the corner of Wood End Road and Roundwood Lane, and then turn round and follow the diversion along Ridgewood Drive and High Ridge.

  • The Hopper will re-join the normal route lower down Roundwood Lane.

  • The reverse will apply on the return journey
